Chippendale Carved Mahogany Side Chair, Philadelphia area, c. 1760, the crest rail with piercing above the splat with Gothic tracery flanked by tapering back posts flanking a molded shoe above the through tenons and similarly molded seat rail with front and side shaping over leaf-carved cabriole front legs terminating in trifid feet, rounded rear legs. old surface, (minor alterations), ht. 38 1/2, seat ht. 17 1/2 in.
