Federal Mahogany Inlaid Bowfront Chest of Drawers, probably New Hampshire, c. 1810, the top has stringing centering the edge that overhangs a conforming case of cockbeaded drawers with bone-inlaid escutcheons and stringing in outline with ovolo corners above the serpentine skirt with a cross-banded veneer continuing to the flaring front French feet as well as arched, replaced brasses, old refinish, ht. 37 3/4, wd. 43 1/4, dp. 24 1/8 in. Note: A brass plaque on the reverse reads, "Property of William and Mary Chandler Sever married Oct 29 1785".
