Wool Needlework Pocketbook, America, mid to late 18th century, Irish stitched double pocketbook which opens to four compartments, the exterior stitched with carnation-like flowers done in wool yarns in shades of red, yellow, purple and blue on a dark red ground with brown and black outline, lined in deep pink glazed wool,and bound with deep pink twill tape, (minor losses), 4 3/4 x 8 in. (closed).
