French, 19th Century. Monumental Sevres cobalt and bronze mounted urn, baluster form surmounted with a domed cover and pine cone finial over an elongated neck decorated in gilt with swans and central urn, the bulbous body finely painted with pastoral courting scene, and landscape to the reverse, within a gilt-scrollwork cartouche, with upright looping berried laurel handles with female-mask terminals, on a circular spreading socle and canted base. Marked inside lid double Louis in blue underglaze with possibly letter 'V'. Height 30.5", width 11", depth of foot 6.5".
