Tusk Ivory Mounted Wax Seal of Gebhard Blucher, late 18th/early 19th century, the rectangular white metal seal carved with gartered coat of arms and name, topped by a coronet and crossed keys, mounted to curved tusk with two white metal bands, lg. 5 1/2 in. Note: Known for his personal bravery, Count Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher (1742-1819) (later elevated to Prince of Wahlstatt) was an important Prussian Marshall who, most notably, fought against Napoleon I.
