Victor Moscoso (American, b. 1936) Abstract Still Life Inscribed, signed, and dated "To Babydoll Vic Moscoso 59" l.r., inscribed "Victor Moscoso" in pencil on the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 34 1/2 x 32 in., framed. Condition: Accretions, surface grime. N.B. This work has been reviewed via photographs by the artist and confirmed as his work, done in 1959 when he was a senior at Yale University. He stretched the canvas and also made the frame, as was the standard for students at that time. We would like to thank the artist and his son, Justo Moscoso, for their help cataloging this entry.
