Richard DeVore (1933-2006) Vessel Pottery United States Green rim on gray-green crackle glaze with pinched band, the interior with a fold at base, unmarked, ht. 5 3/8, dia. 9 in. Note: Richard DeVore received his MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art, and became head of the ceramics department in 1966. He is known for minimal sculpted forms finished in soft glaze colors that have an organic appeal and stone appearance. His work appears in many museum collections including the Museum of Arts and Design in New York and the Delaware Art Museum.
