Jacobean-style Carved Oak Two-door Cupboard and a Cupboard Top, a full cupboard with two doors and open interior, ht. 48 1/2, wd. 53, dp. 22 5/8; and an upper cupboard section with two doors, ht. 28 3/4, wd. 58 3/4, dp. 24 1/4 in. Provenance: Originally purchased by August Hemenway, a prominent 19th century Boston shipper, and who's family continued to be benefactors to the arts and culture of Boston. Harriet Hemenway was a founder of the Massachusetts Audubon Society.
