Attributed to Jacob Eicholtz (American, 1776-1842) Portrait of a Small Boy with a Cane. Unsigned. Oil on panel, c. 1810, depicting the boy in three-quarter length, wearing a dark blue jacket and trousers, red vest, and white shirt with ruffled collar, 7 1/2 x 6 in., in original molded giltwood frame. Condition: Scattered retouch. Provenance: Collection of Mr. & Mrs. Chip Myers, Cherry Valley, New York. Several small scattered spots of retouch on face, vest, hand, background. The attribution to Eicholtz was made by the Munson Proctor Institute of utica, New York.
