Carved and Painted Yellowlegs Decoy, Verity family, Seaborn, Long Island, early 20th century, with deeply carved wings, probably secondary paint, including stand, (lightly hit by shot, split on bill and tail, paint losses), overall ht. 7 1/4, lg. 9 1/2 in. Probably secondary paint, several very small paint losses to tip of bill, bill cracked in the middle and held together with a thin nail, two shot holes and a few small shallow abrasions to sides, tail has a 1 in. lg. split with a sliver of wood loss about 1/2 in. lg.
