Mahogany Pillar and Scroll Clock by Eli & Samuel Terry, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1824-27, the scroll top and three brass urn finials over the painted wooden dial with Roman numerals, free-standing columns flanking the door with lower painted tablet of a country scene, 30-hour time and strike wooden movement with count wheel strike, pendulum and period cast iron weights, ht. 31 in. Scrolls are essentially original although broken and repaired numerous times, painted tablet is original with minor losses, feet have been broken, some glue blocks gone, but essentially original.
