Cary, London, circa 1815, the terrestrial and celestial globes with turned and inlaid mahogany stands, brass calibrated meridian rings, brass hour circles at the poles, paper on wood horizon rings with red perimeters printed with Gregorian and Zodiacal calendars, 9 1/2-in. printed compass cards with maker's name at the center, blued steel needles in reeded glazed frames supported by tapered stretchers spanning the base, the terrestrial globe with shaded countries outlined in green, Analemma and Table of Equation in the Pacific, the celestial with delicate coloring of the Zodiacal figures and star magnitudes indicated, each globe with maker's cartouche, the terrestrial reading in part, Cary's New Terrestrial Globe, Exhibiting the Tracks and Discoveries Made by Captain Cook...together with every other improvement collected from various navigators to the present time.
