Yixing Teapot, China, splayed square body, decorated in gilt on one side with a scene of Chairman Mao giving a speech, a four-character colophon with the name Gu Xiaoyue on the other side, beast-shaped spout and tail-form handle, base marked Zhiqiang xie ji du dao (possibly referring to Bao Zhiqiang, Chinese, b. 1946), the roof-form lid surmounted with a finial incised "1949-2009," ht. 3 3/4 in.
