Manchu Wedding Robe, China, 20th century, embroidered in satin stitch on red ground with eight roundels comprising butterflies, bats, and auspicious fruit and flowers, above a lishui border sea dragons and Buddhist emblems emerging out of the rolling waves, the black collar and wide horseshoe cuffs densely embroidered with butterflies, bats, lingzhi , blossoms, and fruit, with key-fret trims.
