Walker Evans (American, 1903-1975) New York City Tenement Kitchen , 1931, Signed and dated "Walker Evans... " in pencil on the mount l.r., inscribed, titled, and dated "P58..." in pencil and identified with an artist's stamp, Lyme, Connecticut, on verso. Gelatin silver print mounted to matboard, 6 3/4 x 9 1/4 in. (17.1 x 23.5 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Good. Provenance: Through the estate of Matthew Wysocki (1920-1991), artist, photographer, professor, and chairman of Dartmouth College's visual studies department (1966-1989), to the present owner by family descent, Connecticut.
