Winfield Scott Clime (American, 1881-1958) On the Gulf of Mexico Signed "Winfield Scott Clime" l. l., titled and inscribed "Winfield Scott Clime... Lyme," possibly in the artist's hand, on the stretcher, inscribed "LYME ANNUAL 1933/PALM BEACH 1934 Honorable Mention" in pencil in a period hand on the stretcher, a label from the Moyer Gallery, Hartford, Connecticut, affixed to the frame. Oil on canvas, 20 x 24 in. (50.8 x 60.9 cm), framed. Condition: Scattered craquelure, surface grime.
