Edmund Blampied (British, 1886-1966) Three Genre Scenes: Resting, 1923, second state of two, edition of 100 (Arnold & Appleby, 93) signed in pencil and within the plate; The Cider Barrell , 1929, edition of 100 (A&A, 134), signed (multiple times) and dated within the plate; and Galloping , 1933, edition of 100 (A&A, 165), signed in ink and within the plate. Drypoints on paper, plate sizes to 10 1/2 x 10 3/8 in. (26.6 x 26.3 cm), framed. Condition: Subtle toning, not examined out of frames. Examined out of frame, The Cider Barrell has mat burn, is toned, and is affixed to a backing board along the upper edge of the sheet. Sheet measures 18 1/4 x 12 1/2 in. (46.2 x 31.8 cm). Galloping , numbered in ink lower left, 33/100. The other two have not been removed from their frames, but the papers are both a crisp white, and there are no other visible issues to report.
