Single sheet folio engraved map, matted and framed, with restoration along two edges, and the adjacent outer rules done in pen facsimile, cleaned, old folds just barely visible, 13 3/4 x 11 3/4 in. This map was published in the German translation of John Smith's New England in 1617. It is one of the earliest maps to focus exclusively on the New England coast.
