English or Scottish, 19th century. Mahogany 8 day tall case clock with foliate scrolling cresting over a flat projecting cornice and arched shaped glazed door housing a conforming metal fully painted dial with arch painted with countryside home in landscape and floral painted spandrels, the white dial with Roman numerals, seconds and calendar aperture. The time and strike movement is brass, eight-day duration and designed to strike each hour on a cast iron bell. It is powered by two weights. The long waisted case is cross-banded and mounted with locking door over a cross-banded base with scalloped apron on bracket feet. Height 83.5", width 21", depth 9".
