Provincial Fruitwood Slant-lid Desk, France, late 18th/early 19th century, upper section with internal writing surface and compartments, above a row of three drawers with a central dummy drawer and a lower long drawer, all with circular pulls, raised on tapered and reeded legs, ht. 38 7/8, wd. 39 3/4, dp. 20 in. Age-related wear throughout (particularly interior). Scattered worming, extensive worming to underside of side rails (left side). Crack to panel on the right and left side. Back left foot with repairs, small crack to foot and to upper corner splintering off.
