Two Staffordshire White Salt-glazed Stoneware Items, England, mid-18th century, a lobed teapot and cover, traces of gilding to the serpent spout attached to a molded body with shells centering oak leaves, ht. 5; and a molded cornucopia-shaped wall pocket with depiction of Flora within a foliate-framed cartouche, lg. 9 1/2 in. Teapot cover: Broken into three pieces and simply reglued. shallow 1/4" rim chip; 3/8" chip to inner collar. Teapot: 1" rim hairline and associated 1/4" rim chip; 1 1/2" hairline along a lobed seam; spout broken through and simply repaired near terminal. Wall pocket: Old and discolored repairs to the lower 4 1/2" and along the top scrollwork. It appears that the damages are much smaller than the old repairs would indicate.
