Abraham Munting (Dutch, 1626-1683). "Aloe Americana Minor (Fig. 93)" and "Aloe Ferox (Fig. 95)", hand colored copperplate engravings, each being plates from "Naauwkeurige Beschryving Der Aardgewassen (Accurate Description of Terrestrial Plants)" published in the Netherlands by Pieter van der Aa and Francois Halma in 1696. Each engraving depicts an aloe plant in a terra cotta jardiniere atop a pedestal, "Aloe Ferox" with a figural scene surrounding. Framed approximately 22 3/8" x 17 1/2", sight size approximately 13 7/8" x 9".
