Paint-decorated Woven-splint Basket, probably an eastern Woodland Indian tribe, late 19th century, rectangular basket with two carved hardwood handles, the upright splints with natural and blue-painted surfaces, the horizontal weavers painted red, blue, and yellow, (split on one handle), overall ht. 6 1/2, wd. 10 3/8, lg. 11 5/8 in.
