Prairie Beaded Cloth and Hide Moccasins, Delaware, c. second quarter 19th century, the soft forms beaded on the vamps and heels with multicolored abstract floral devices using small seed beads, with green silk striped backing down the vamp, edge-beaded two-color silk cuffs, lg. 8 1/4 in. Provenance: The Charles and Blanche Derby collection; by repute, the collection of Mary Bremmen of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. They were brought back from Ohawa, Kansas in 1867.
