Appliquéd Cotton Baltimore Album Heart-in-Hand Quilt, c. 1850, the quilt top with twenty-five blocks depicting many popular album quilt designs including cornucopia of flowers, flower urns, floral wreaths, heart-in-hand, and hearts and arrows, with swag and blossom borders and layered and reverse applique, some accented with cotton embroidery, predominantly red, green, blue, and yellow, printed and solid color fabric on a white ground, white backing, some blocks with stitched names, one name "Mary Boyd" is dated "1850," diagonal line quilting stitches, (minor toning, scattered light stains), 102 x 102 in. Provenance: Deaccessioned from the Pennsylvania Quilt and Textile Museum, Lititz, Pennsylvania.
