1862 Non-Commissioned Officer's Sword, the blade marked "Ames Mfg. , Chickopee, Mass." and "US., H.C, 1862" on reverse, the grip ribbed in imitation wire, with a globular pommel with capstan rivet, a flat knuckle-bow stamped "HC", and a kidney-shaped counterguard, above a single edged blade with a brass mounted leather scabbard.
