Federal Cherry Inlaid Tall Case Clock, Joseph Mulliken, Concord, Massachusetts, c. 1805, the hood with pierced fretwork centering a reeded plinth and three brass ball finials above the arched cornice molding and scratchbeaded glazed tombstone door enclosing an iron polychrome and gilt dial with floral and fruit spandrels with moon's-phase indicator, seconds hand, and calendar aperture inscribed "J. Mulliken, CONCORD," and eight-day brass weight-driven movement, all flanked by freestanding brass stop-fluted columns, the waist with rectangular molded door inlaid with quarter fans and stringing flanked by brass stop-fluted quarter columns all on conformingly inlaid base centering a patera, all on molded ogee bracket feet, refinished, (minor imperfections and restoration), ht. 87 1/2 in. (including finial).
