Continental, early 19th century. Louis XVI style giltwood carved fauteuil with rectangular fluted back flanked by artichoke carved finials over circular padded upholstered back within acanthus and imbricated scroll carved and padded arms enclosing the padded seat, over a guilloche carved apron raised on turned, tapered legs headed with acanthus and patera blocks. Height 45", width 25.25"(arm to arm), seat depth 21", seat height 17".
