Slate Horizontal Garden Sundial by Samuel Mitchel, with Arabic hour ring and cross-hatched compass points, decorated at the corners with ellipses and two marine quadrants, engraved with latitude of Donegal and verse "God said let there be / Lights in the firmaments / of the heaven to divide the day / from the night and let / Them be for signs and for / Seasons and for / Days and years / Level me well and set me / Fair and the Truth to you I will declare", 20 in. square, (lacking gnomon, cracked through centre).
