Fine Mahogany Apothecary Chest, probably Germany, 18th century, containing eight small clear glass bottles (three with stoppers, four with pewter caps), three large bottles and four pewter cannisters in fitted compartments with arched fretwork facades and paper labels Acque Minerali and Generi Deiversi , two side drawers with marbled-paper lining, three long powder drawers marked Polveri , lid interior lined with gilt-paper, and hinged double doors secured with lock and pin-catch, the case with domed lid, riveted wrought-iron binding strips, hinges and handle, wd. 6 1/4 in.
