"Rubber Ball Shooting Gallery" Automaton, circa 1900, possibly by McLoughlin Brothers , the paper-on-wood proscenium lithographed with designs of Palmer Cox Brownies in regional costumes, one dressed as Uncle Sam and three as hunters, the sides covered in grained paper and the frame with original blue/green paint, with marquee flanked by giltwood balls, plinth base and three flip-down Brownie targets in the first tier, the second tier with two sprung bull-seye targets ringing a bell when hit, and brass open-spring clockwork motor revolving a pulley with one (of three) flip-down animal targets, ht. 24 x lg. 20 in., (incomplete).
