Lambert Bebe Eventail Automaton, 1880s, with Jumeau bisque head impressed Depose Jumeau 4 , closed mouth, blue lined paperweight eyes, feathered brows, pierced ears, even coloring (very small rub on left cheek), pierecd ears, cork pate with original blonde mohair wig, cartonage body with wire upper arms and bisque forearms holding flower bouquet and fan, on figured velvet-covered base with tune-sheet and red-lacquered key, the going-barrel movement playing one air and causing the figure to turn and incline her head, raise the flowers in her left hand, and twist the fan with her right, in aqua silk brocade dress and jacket trimmed with ecru lace, matching slippers and bonnet with pleated brim and ostrich feather trim, ht. 21 in., (good movement and tone, silk fragile on sleeves and jacket side, otherwise good original condition).
