Judson Howard (American/ New York, b. 1932). "The Waterfall", oil on canvas, signed lower left "J. Howard". Painting depicts an autumnal scene with crashing waterfall at center into a serene river that winds toward the viewer around an embankment at right foreground full with brown grasses and overgrown trees, with a mountain reaching up in background in hazy shades of purple, beneath a white sky. Transport label to verso of stretcher from W. Wingate & Johnston Ltd. Framed approximately 24 1/2" x 20 1/2", unframed approximately 18 1/8" x 14 1/8".
