Easter Island Male Figure, Moai Kavakava, c. third quarter 19th century, carved of hard wood, the emaciated standing form with long arms attached to the hips, incised ribs and spine, the elongated head with inlaid mother-of-pearl and obsidian chip eyes, with incised cylindrical earlobe pendants and three incised fish across the top of the head, (broken and repaired at the neck and on one earpendant), custom stand, ht. 20 in.
