Murano Glass Sculptural Group Art glass, Plexiglass, metal Italy, 1955, executed by Galliano Ferro Composed of six black cylinders with etched and colored designs in the style of Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Jean Hans Arp, Marc Chagall, Georges Braque, and Jean Cocteau, each inscribed Murano, 1955 on the base, raised on a Plexiglass mount centering a green glass head with applied black features after Max Ernst inscribed at lower edge "Galliano Ferro Murano 1955," the mount with a label that reads "Tanti Artisti, Benvenuto A Murano Italia," the mount further signed B Leigini, Milano, ht. 29, wd. 36 in. Note: 1955 is the year that Galliano Ferro formed his own glass factory after leaving Arte Vetraria Muranese (A.Ve.M.).
