Pair of Charles and Ray Eames Hang-It-Alls Painted steel wire, maple Tigrett Enterprises, 1953-1961, designed 1953 The white painted wire frame mounted with multicolored balls for hanging, some paint loss and wear, ht. 14 5/8, wd. 19 3/4, dp. 6 1/2 in. Provenance: From the Estate of Jill Mitchell (Virginia Mills), a student at Cranbrook in the 1940s, where she won awards for her work in woven and printed textile design. During her time there she became a lifelong friend of Charles and Ray Eames and Eero Saarinen, later working for both.
