William Glen Davis, (American (Pennsylvania), 20th century). A collection of two sculptures c.1970s comprising of one with bronze metal rods in a broken windowpane pattern forming squares, some containing rusted metal plates with holes and reticulated fields, the wire frame oriented at angles to each other forming a three dimensional composition, the sculpture to a rectangular wooden plinth; and one of openwork bronze rods forming a cage structure in three dimensions. Windowpane sculpture approximately 14.125" tall, 9.25" wide, 5" deep. Cage sculpture approximately 12.5" tall, 7.25" wide, 6.5" deep. Note: Glen Davis was a founding member of "Group A", a group of artists whose goal was to advance abstract art in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania during the mid 20th century. An accountant by trade, Davis pursued his art in forms of painting, kinetic mobiles, and bronze sculpture.
