Philip Standish Read (American (New York),1927-2000). "Reclining Nudes", oil on canvas, signed lower right "Philip S. Read". Mural-like painting depicting a group of cubist inspired classical nudes in pastel tones with a single female figure reclining at center with bulbous breasts and her right arm covering her mouth as it grabs the opposite shoulder, the figures layered over each other and having multi colored abstract washes over surface. Unframed canvas approximately 46.5" x 68.25".
