Lorna Simpson (American, b. 1960) Boxed Sculpture and Three Framed Works: III , Peter Norton Family Christmas Edition, 1994 Edition of 5,000, identified on card and inscription on underside of lid. Cedar and lithographed felt box containing ceramic, rubber, and bronze wishbone sculptures, "The Gull," signed "Will Barnet," photo-reproduction, a landscape-view photograph signed "T. Blagden" l.r., and an unsigned painted photographic print of a woman and a girl on a boat, box dimensions 13 3/4 x 5 1/2 x 2 1/8 in. Note: Card includes an introduction from Thelma Golden, then associate curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art, who was the Special Projects Curator for contemporary art collectors Peter Norton and Eileen Harris Norton from 1998 to 2000.
