Blue and White Garden Seat, China, 18th/19th century, drum-shape, heavily potted, the midsection painted with a pair of confronting dragons, separated by two pairs of pierced cash motifs, amidst flowers, between rows of raised bosses and blossom bands, with four of the eight Treasures along the top and stylized prunus along the bottom, the flat top decorated with a multitude of flowers surrounding a central pierced coin motif, ht. 18 1/2 in. Provenance: Acquired in 1962 from H. Woods Wilson, London, to the present owner by family descent. Original receipt available.
