Five Calligraphy Works, China, 20th century, a rubbing of an inscription, signed "Shi An" with two seals, 43 1/4 x 12 1/8; one with four characters, dated and signed with three seals, 39 x 13 1/8; one with two characters meaning crane and pine, dated and signed "Huang Zhengjun" with two seals, 13 1/8 x 38 1/8; one with two characters meaning auspiciousness, signed with two seals, 26 1/2 x 13 1/8; and one with two characters meaning "enjoy the music," signed "Xu Linchun" with two seals, 13 1/8 x 25 3/4 in. Provenance: From the former New England Center for Contemporary Art (NECCA) in Brooklyn, Connecticut. Sold to benefit the Temple Beth Israel and St. James Catholic Church, both of Danielson, Connecticut.
