Blue and White Punch Bowl, China, 18th century or later, gently curved walls rising from a short foot to rolled lip, the interior well painted with a flowering peony tree with butterflies, with a border of blossoms against a blue ground along the interior wall, the exterior decorated with a bird and butterflies amidst branches bearing peonies, base unmarked, dia. 14 1/2 in. Provenance: Acquired in 1964 from Read Antiques, Baltimore, to the presernt owner by family descent. Original receipt available.
