Nine-panel Porcelain Inlaid Lacquered Wood Screen, China, 19th century, each panel with four reserves, the main frames inlaid with polychrome enameled porcelain depicting the eight Daoist Immortals and Shoulao, the God of Longevity, set between porcelain plaques decorated with scrolling lotuses in underglaze blue, with gilt and polychrome vignettes of vases and auspicious flowers below, 56 1/2 x 117 in. Provenance: Purportedly acquired by Cyrus Leroy Baldridge (1889-1977) in the first quarter of the 20th century and inherited by the current owner's family upon his death.
