Kutani Porcelain Vase, Japan, 20th century, baluster-shape with a waisted neck with rolled mouth rim and flat base, lavishly decorated with a peacock in nature with flowers and a samurai with a courtesan in a garden with a palanquin, applied in two shaped reserves and enameled mainly in bright orange and rich gold, outside of the reserves decorated with diverse motifs of flowers and scrolls, birds and butterflies, and arabesque designs, ht. 18 1/4 in.
