Charles Cabrier Musical Table Clock, London, c. 1780, the mahogany case with pagoda top, pierced side frets backed with fabric, carrying handles, scrolled feet and brass mounts flanking the tombstone-shaped glazed door over the composite brass dial with silvered Roman numeral chapter ring, subsidiary dials, one for "Strike-Silent" and signed Charles Cabrier, London , the other marked Minuets and numbered 1-6 , brass spandrels, matted center, recessed date aperture and engraved and painted moon's age dial in the arch, eight-day, spring-powered, fusee movement with tune pin barrel, fourteen tuned bells, crown-wheel verge escapement with 9- in. pendulum, rack and snail strike system and fully engraved back plate, ht. 23 in.
