Scottish Long Case Clock by Alex Kirkwood, Paisley, Scotland, c. 1770, the pine case with swan's neck pediment over the composite brass dial, dolphin form spandrels flanking the silvered boss reading Alex Kirkwood Paisley , the engraved dial center with subsidiary minute dial, and date aperture, cast brass spandrels surrounding the silvered chapter ring, case trunk with chamfered columns and lambs tongue capitols, iron pendulum bob painted with a finely detailed two-masted schooner, water and sky, ht. 88 1/2 in.
