Transfer-decorated Liverpool Creamware Jug, England, early 19th century, mulberry transfer decoration, one side depicting "Washington in Glory/America in Tears," with an eagle and a woman grieving beside an urn-topped monument centered with a bust of Washington, the reverse with a verse "O Liberty thou Goddefs... " in an oval reserve surrounded by a chain of fifteen states, and with a border of Masonic emblems in an oval under the spout, (imperfections), ht. 9 1/4 in.
