1977 watercolor over etching on paper plate size: 33. 5 x 48.5 cm (13 1/8 x 19 1/8 in.) signed and dated lower right, numbered lower left PROVENANCE Acquired directly from the rtists Private Collection, U.S. LOT NOTES Evgeny Abezgauz, a legendary figure of the Russian underground, hand-painted this series of etchings with watercolor. A similar work from the same series was on loan from the collection of Norton and Nancy Dodge to the Zimmerli Museum of Russian and Soviet Nonconformist Art in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
