French, (circa late 19th / early 20th century). A decorative canopy cornice comprising a cream painted wooden cornice with parcel gilt decoration and central carved and parcel gilt rocaille shell flanked by carved rococo flowers, hung with cream tulle drapery decorated with embroidered floral and c scroll lace and a posterior valance upholstered with gathered cream fabric. Approximate cornice width 67.5", depth 10.75", curtain length 93". Provenance: From the Estate of Sam & Florence Inman, Atlanta, Georgia.
