1920s THIS LOT IS BEING SOLD WITHOUT RESERVE watercolor on paperboard 51 x 34. 5 cm (14 1/2 x 11 3/4 in.) Igor Gerasimovich Terentiev was a Russian poet, artist, stage director, and a representative of the Russian avant-garde. He studied under Gurdjieff in Tiflis and worked in the Museum of Art Culture with K. Malevich, M. Matyushin and P. Filonov. A member of the Russian Futurist Movement, together with Vasilli Kamenski, Alexei Kruchenykh, Velimir Khlebnikov and with the brothers Zdanevich, he moved to Tiflis, Georgia where they founded the organization The Futurist art of 1917-1919 became one of the most important artistic events in Tiflis` cultural life. The Futurist brochures of that period are art objects and present an example of the intercultural, international cooperation of artists and poets. A was a trader or an unemployed person mostly occupied in stealing or entertaining others in (restaurant), popular in Tiflis during the 19th century and early 20th century.
